Privacy Policy

Pecca lets you save clothing and products to a personal space by pasting a link. This page covers what we collect, why, and what you can control. It’s short, because we collect very little.

Who we are

Pecca is built and run by an independent developer. For any privacy question or request, email privacy@pecca.app.

What we collect

We never ask for your name, email, or phone number. When you use Pecca:

• An anonymous account ID. The first time you open Pecca, it creates an anonymous account (just a random ID) so your space has somewhere to live. It isn’t tied to who you are.
• The items you save. The links you paste and the details we pull in for them: title, price, brand, size, colour, availability, description, and product image.
• Product images. When you save an item, your phone downloads the product photo directly from the store — so that store sees your device making a normal web request, the same as if you had opened the page yourself. The background is then removed on your phone, and we store the finished image so it shows up in your space. Stored images live at their own unguessable web address. They aren’t listed or searchable, but anyone given the exact address can open one, so treat a saved image as unlisted rather than private.
• A little reliability data. Each time you save, we note the site’s domain (like “nike.com”), whether the link loaded, and how long it took. That’s how we keep link-reading working across stores. It’s linked to your anonymous account ID.
• Basic technical data. Like any app, our infrastructure providers see basic connection data such as your IP address in order to serve the app.
• Crash and error reports. When something goes wrong, we send a report describing the failure, your app version, and your device model to Sentry, our crash-reporting provider. Web addresses are stripped out before it leaves your phone, so the products you were looking at are not included. The report is not linked to your account and is not used to track you.
• Saving from other apps. When you save a link using the share sheet, if something goes wrong we may send an error report. Web addresses are removed from it before it leaves your phone, so the page you were on is not included.

No analytics SDKs, no ad SDKs, and no tracking you across other apps or sites.

How we use it

Only to run the app: store your space, pull in product details from links you paste, keep link-reading working, and stop abuse.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your data or hand it over for advertising. Three service providers handle data on our behalf:

• Supabase stores your space, your account, and your images (in the United States).
• Firecrawl fetches the public product page for a link you paste, so we can read its title, price, and image. This means the link itself is sent to them.
• Sentry receives crash and error reports so we can find and fix bugs. These contain the error, your app version, and your device model — not your name, your IP address, or anything from your space. Screenshots and screen contents are switched off.

One thing that isn’t a service provider but is worth being clear about: the store itself. Your phone downloads the product photo straight from the retailer, so their servers see your device’s IP address and browser identifier, exactly as they would if you had visited the page in Safari.

Sharing a collection

If you share a collection, Pecca puts it on an unlisted web page at a link no one can guess, with the items and their images. Only someone you send the link to can open it, and you can turn sharing off whenever you want.

How long we keep it

• Your space stays until you delete items or your account.
• Reliability data is kept for up to 90 days, then removed or anonymized.
• Deleted items sit in “Recently Deleted” for up to 30 days before they’re gone for good, so you can recover them.

Your choices

• Delete everything. You can wipe your account and all your data right in the app, under Settings → Delete Account. It’s permanent.
• Ask us anything. Since accounts are anonymous, we can only act on requests from your device or the email above.
• Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA or UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data. Email us to use those rights.

pecca+ subscriptions

If you subscribe to pecca+, Apple processes the payment. We never see your card, and no payment details reach our servers. Apple tells us that a subscription exists and whether it is still active; we store that — your plan, and the identifier Apple uses for the subscription — so the app knows to stop asking you to subscribe.

Cancelling is handled by Apple, in your Apple Account settings, not by us. Deleting your Pecca account removes our copy of the plan record but does not cancel the subscription — cancel it with Apple as well, or it keeps renewing.

Children

Pecca isn’t made for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
